Ethical Investment Week

The 13th annual Ethical Investment Week focuses on the strong connection between Ethical Investing and Growing Generational Wealth.

Why This Matters for You

“Younger investors plan to increase sustainable allocations at higher rates — they are the future of wealth stewardship.”

– Morgan Stanley Sustainable Signals

Australia is about to experience the largest transfer of wealth in its history. Over the next 20 years, between $3.5-$5.4 trillion will move from one generation to the next. Most of it will be in property and superannuation, assets many Australians hold today. At the same time, 88% of Australians now expect their investments to be managed responsibly and ethically.

People over 55 hold 60% of New Zealand’s $2.29 trillion wealth. $1.11 trillion will be transferred in the next 20 years. 75% of New Zealanders expect their investments to be managed ethically and responsibly.

Globally, around USD 83 trillion will be transferred over the next 25 years.

The US alone accounts for USD 29 trillion.
Women and younger investors (Gen Z and Millennials) are increasingly directing these funds and they overwhelmingly prefer ethical, sustainable investment strategies.

How to Make Ethical Investing Part of Your Legacy

Thank you for celebrating Ethical Investment Week 2026 with us through food, film, and community!

Thank you so much to everyone who joined us to celebrate Ethical Investment Week. It was a wonderful evening of conversation, connection and shared ideas.

A special thank you to our guest speaker Rob Pekin from the Food Connect Foundation, who sparked thoughtful conversations around transforming our food systems and reconnecting deeply with place and the food that nourishes us. That theme carried beautifully into our film screening of ‘Local Food Stories’, which encouraged us to rethink our food networks, local economies, and our true connections to our plates.

Following the film, the energy in the room shifted to hands-on collaboration. Through our lively group conversations, and fun icebreakers, we shared real-world work and volunteer-based challenges, explored creative solutions together, and heard about some inspiring passion projects right already taking shape within our community.

We also want to express our deep appreciation to our wonderful guest advocacy groups that attended: Australian Conservation Foundation, Bush Heritage Australia, Parents for Climate Action, Australian Marine Conservation Society, Doctors for the Environment Australia and Sustainable Engineers Australia.

Having so many people working across climate, conservation, nature, health and sustainability in the room added another layer of experience and perspective to the evening.

As we look ahead and consider how our decisions will be judged by the next generation, it’s energising to know that your collaborative spirit and commitment to values aligned investing are helping shape better outcomes for people and planet. Together, we’re contributing to the future of sustainable finance, one that rewards responsibility, innovation and long term thinking.

Kind regards,
